Product Description

Overview

With the Keysight PNA-X pro network analyzer, aim for unparalleled skill. With a streamlined setup and an easy-to-use interface, this multipurpose microwave test engine provides accurate linear and nonlinear measurements with sophisticated error correction.

Use the source-per-port PNA-X pro to make testing frequency-translating components easier. In a single test setup, this highly adjustable instrument contains two low-noise receivers, two combiners, and up to four ultra-low phase noise and harmonic signal sources. Direct receiver access and switchable front-panel loops on the source line minimize the amount of cable needed for intricate high-power testing, as well as the resulting signal power losses. Furthermore, the test setup no longer requires external signal generators or switches thanks to its integrated hardware. With the PNA-X pro, you can streamline your design verification setup while reducing test cycle time and error risk.

Utilize four distinct, integrated signal sources with ultra-low phase noise direct digital synthesis (RF) to streamline your measuring setup for frequency-translating and differential active devices.

Use two integrated low-noise receivers and signal combiners to flip the direction of your device under test during noise figure and intermodulation distortion (IMD) measurements, doing away with the requirement for external switches.

Utilize the preselection filters that are integrated into the low-noise receivers to increase the dynamic range of the measurements.

Utilize the highly adjustable test set architecture to reduce the amount of wiring needed for sophisticated device testing, such as direct receiver access for high-power measurements and front-panel loop and switch access on the source path.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What frequency ranges are supported by the Keysight PNA-X series?

The Keysight PNA-X family features three distinct models: the NA5202A supports 10 MHz to 26.5 GHz, the NA5204A covers 10 MHz to 43.5 GHz, and the NA5205A operates from 10 MHz up to 50 GHz, all offering 1 Hz frequency resolution.

How does the PNA-X eliminate the need for external signal generators and switches?

The unit integrates up to four ultra-low phase noise RF signal sources, two low-noise receivers, and signal combiners into a single instrument. This built-in hardware allows full measurement capability without external routing equipment.

What are the benefits of the preselection filters in the low-noise receivers?

The preselection filters integrated directly into the low-noise receivers significantly expand the dynamic range of test measurements while maintaining precise signal integrity during complex characterization.

How does front-panel loop access improve high-power testing setups?

Direct receiver access and switchable front-panel loops minimize external cabling length, which drastically cuts down signal power losses and simplifies the mechanical setup required for intricate active device testing.

What are the frequency accuracy and stability specifications?

The network analyzer delivers a standard frequency accuracy of ±0.15 ppm, an initial frequency accuracy of ±0.1 ppm (±0.02 ppm typical), and a temperature stability of ±0.02 ppm (-20°C to 70°C) with an aging rate of ±0.05 ppm in the first year.

What are the physical dimensions and weight of the NA5202A 4-port model?

The NA5202A 4-port model has a height of 267 mm (without feet) or 282 mm (with feet), a width of 426 mm (without handles) or 573 mm (with handles), a depth of 591 mm (hardware-free) or 705 mm (with hardware), a net weight of 53.7 kg (118.4 lbs), and a shipping weight of 67.3 kg (148.4 lbs).
